The UK's members of Parliament name "Led Zeppelin II" as their favourite album.

It's a classic and it's my favourite Led Zeppelin album, too. Surprised they said it though - Led Zep seem to be very unfashionable with music critics, rather like Pink Floyd, and politicians are usually very conscious of being fashionable. ;)

With this lot being politicians I was convinced their favourite album would have been "Never Mind The Bollocks" ?

Politicians will say anything if they think it will get them a vote.....
Tony Blair probably jammed with Zeppelin in 1969 ........

LZ II is certainly worthy of high recognition by Parliament but how expert are these individuals regarding music in general? With their highly stressful schedules to consider, I have a feeling their listening habits don't hardly compare to the more diverse listeners out there. They've probably haven't even bothered to explore many other artists familiar to myself and CRF2 as a whole.

I would bet my bottom dollar the vast majority of Parliament aren't familiar with many of MY favorites such as Enigma, Delerium, Schiller, etc. If this be the case, and I think it's very possible, they're missing out on some very fine music.

And, "Whole Lotta Love" the best rock song ever? Highly debatable! However, it IS Parliament we're talking about and I suppose this information IS newsworthy.........maybe! ;)
