Way to go Jimmy Page! I'm glad he's getting this recognition. Unlike some people, I think it's great when artists spend time and effort helping others and I think they deserve all the recognition they get.

Why do great people do this? Can they realy help someone? 300 hundred people. It is significant when you talk about someone you know but when you talk about all poor people in Brazil... I'm glad Jimmy Page did something patronful but he will not save the world. Just glad to hear about him.

Saving one life and helping one person is something. I don't think anyone is saying he saved the world.

What's with the negative spin on all these celebrities who do charitable things? Would you rather they didn't do anything?

no, I think they should do something. I'm just a little sceptical. People must help themselves personally. Nobody can come and help you from the outside.

I don't think Jimmy Page is trying to save the world. He generally does what interests him, and the plight of Brazilian streetchildren sparked that interest. He doesn't go around promoting this; he's just trying to do what he can.
