The 90's Champion

We now have what the users have decided is the best album from the 90's. I don't think anyone was suprised at the two albums in the final round, but I do think they where suprised at the margin of victory. When VH1 did the top 100 albums Nevermind was number two so it looked to be a strong contender, but the fact is it almost lost a couple of rounds while the Pearl Jam record dominated all the polls it was in. I thought the final round would be a fight to the finish but it turned out to be the opposite as Pearl Jam solidly defeated Nirvana. Now that the final round is over I give you our 90's champion Pearl Jam with the album Ten.

Re: The 90's Champion

Yes it was...in fact you would be hard pressed to find an album that wasn't in it. In all there was over 1000 albums in the whole thing before my hard drive crashed. I am working on getting the 70's part ready again. Stick around for that.

Ten is great, I love it, but it's not as good as any Nirvana album.

It faced the Nirvana album in the final round and dominated it.

Re: The 90's Champion

I'm suprised Nevermind even made it into the final on here. But With The Lights Out is probably the best thing I've ever owned, so I'll wait till 2010 for the 00 competition, heh heh.

Re: The 90's Champion

I wasn't around for this, how did Radiohead's Ok Computer do?

That and Ten would most likely make up my final 2.

Re: The 90's Champion

I lost the spreadsheet that had all that when I had my hard drive crash several months back but I don't think OK Computer did so good. Ten was an unstoppble force though. I am still getting the 70's together. I hope to get it started soon.

I can't wait for that.

Too bad about OK Computer, but the people in Britain love it enough already

Re: The 90's Champion

Oh yeah, and were they any rap classics like The Chronic on there?

That is instant classic, 2001 was too actually.

Re: The 90's Champion

I don't rememebr if I did for the 90's but I know the 80's had some classic rap on there from the likes of Run DMC and Beastie Boys. Maybe a few others I don't remember.

Ten and Nevermind are both great, but OK Computer is monumental.
