Re: How Many More Times vs No Quarter

Dang, the last few were easy, but this one's got me stumped. No Quarter is amazing, but my appreciation for How Many More Times has only increased over the years. I think I'd still give the edge to No Quarter, but it's close.

No Quarter is a TERRIFIC song, probably I would even go as far as to call it my favorite LZ song ever!

Let's hear it for the Fellowship of the Ring..."No Quarter" it is.

No contest for me - "How Many More Times?" and I couldn't care less than I already don't that it's not exactly...original.
Hello to the other 3 - at this point, anyway - supporters!

Re: How Many More Times vs No Quarter

It depends on the version:

No Quarter on Houses Of The Holy or The Song Remains The Same?

If the former....yuck! Nasty square wave fuzz tone guitar.

The latter is a masterpiece. A "cut and paste" masterpiece admittedly. A better, more "authentic" version can be found on the "Goin' Mobile" bootleg from the Mobile, Alabama 1973 concert.

As for How Many More Times, the definitive version can be found on the Seattle Pop Festival 1969 bootleg. Just my opinion obviously...

Re: How Many More Times vs No Quarter

No Quarter, as that is what I would prefer to listen too, but both are very strong songs. I think it is tough to compare because they are from distinctly different periods of sounds for Zep.

Exclamation Re: How Many More Times vs No Quarter

I prefer the earlier bluesier Zeppelin tunes so I'm picking How Many More Times.
