Mick Jagger Performs Commit A Crime From New Stones Album

The new Rolling Stones album ‘Blue and Lonesome’ will be released in December but one of the songs resurfaced in 2012.

On 27 February 2012 Mick Jagger appeared at The White House to perform for President Obama. One of the songs he sang was the Howling Wolf 1966 song ‘Commit A Crime’.

Watch as Jagger bring Jeff Beck on stage to join him for ‘Commit A Crime’.

I'm calling bull feathers on that claim.

Nonetheless, with all the Little Walter tunes on the new album we'll be treated to a lot of Mick Jagger's harp playing. And he really does play it very well and should play it more often on Stones' records as well as live.

You're calling BS on the album before you've even heard it? Nice.

I didn't actually call BS on the album; just on the statement that no overdubs were added.

Secondly there's no way I'd be able to tell whether any overdubs were added even after listening to the album twenty times so whether the album has been released yet or not is a moot point.

Great show!

Can you imagine being able to access Mick Jagger and Jeff Beck for a command performance? That's one of the perks of being the President I guess. And while I'm hardly a fan of President Barack Obama overall, I have to give him credit for his taste in music.

Preliminary indications must point to a big hit on the charts then!

Always my thinking too!

That's why I'm often reluctant to buy these new vinyl releases. How are we to know that the recordings weren't made digitally in the first place? As soon as you go to digital at any stage of the process, what's lost is forever lost. The magic isn't regained by pressing a digital recording onto vinyl.

I quite like it. Has some tracks on there that sound like they're from '65.
