Yeah it's a good one.

I have all but maybe 2 or 3 of the top 100. I didn't actually keep track but it looks like I have most of what was in the top 200 as well. All in all a great bunch of albums. We can argue about the order or even this or that not being included but at the end of the day what we ended up with wasn't bad.

Re: how this breaks down for me .. and you

I own 60 of these albums in one format or another. This simply means that a majority of my favorite artists had little or no mention in the Top 100. Still, 60 is a quite a positive number comparing this list to past lists composed by the likes of Blender Magazine. I sure would like to hear their definition of "great music". CRF2 at least has a fairly good idea and basically agrees with my personal definition give or take a few artists............like Alan Parsons Project, dammit!

From Wikipedia:

"The Alan Parsons Project is one of the recording industry's most dynamic duos. Eric Woolfson has often described Alan Parsons as the foremost engineer/ producer of his day and together, he and Alan have achieved over 45 million album sales, 9 Grammy Nominations, over 50 Gold and Platinum Disc awards, Top 10 hits worldwide and radio broadcasts of 2 million plus airplays in the US alone. With the new re-mastering of all ten APP albums and a wealth of bonus material exhumed from the archives, there is now a whole new perspective to their work together for people to enjoy 20 - 30 years on from when the albums were originally released."

Not to sound argumentative but this sure sounds like Top 100 material to me. Of course, I simply cannot stand Bob Dylan who's practically a God here so I suppose I deserve payback, eh?

I guess I need to repeat this...wikipedia allows anyone to edit entries so what they say doesn't mean a hill of beans to me.

I think the Kinks are light years better than Alan Parsons and they didn't make the top 100 either.

Re: how this breaks down for me .. and you

I'm appalled that you would have the suspicion that I would be so childish as to purposely edit something to get attention. Rest assured I DIDN'T tamper with the article in any way. IMHO, the APP is one of the most underrated artists on the board, zeppboy. That's all I'm saying!

Re: how this breaks down for me .. and you

I was just kidding about that...but they do allow people to edit entries so they are not that good a source imo.
