Re: how this breaks down for me .. and you

I have about 68 of the listed albums. Just to address what Moody was saying, this was a popularity poll more than a quality poll. There were a lot of records in my top twenty that were nowhere in the top 100. I respect the fact that a lot of people here love Boston, even though I'd rather listen to ally cats yowling.

Re: how this breaks down for me .. and you

I'm pretty satisfied with the list although there is a couple of discs that don't belong there (no not Boston),and some who do that aren't,but it's a helluva lot better than those Rolling Stone Magazine and Kerrang polls.

I own 27 of those.

Good work everybody!

Re: how this breaks down for me .. and you

I own 37 of these 100. Not any 50's albums here. Maybe it's too classic. :) Although lp's were not the thing in 50's. Single-era. I wonder how much points any Elvis-album got.

I think you underestimate wikipedia. Sure, anyone can write things, but if you don't cite your sources, it gets noted, and if you write complete bullshit, your IP address gets banned. I don't say it should be the bottom line, but it's fun.

Well I guess what prompted me to say that was a couple of instances recently where someone changed some entries to say stuff that isn't true. One was for wrestler Hulk Hogan. Someone had wrote up a bunch of stuff on him that wasn't true and the other was actor/comedian Sinbad. Someone put he was dead on the article which of course isn't true.

Re: how this breaks down for me .. and you

From my original list of 150, 45 made the top 100, 19 more made the top 200. Also looking at my original list, it probably would look a lot different today than the day I wrote it. In all I own around 112 of the top 200 in one format or another. There are probably a few more I have recorded on cassette, but I'd need a free weekend to go through that box.

I was so sure my Dino Desi and Billy pick would crack the top 100. This poll should have been done in 1965.
