Yes veterans reunite for North American tour

Yes veterans Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin and Rick Wakeman have announced dates for a North American tour following their induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame on April 7.

Officially billed as Yes Featuring Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin, Rick Wakeman, the trio first regrouped for a US trek last year and some select UK and European dates under the banner Anderson Rabin Wakeman (ARW).

Yes React To Anderson Rabin Wakeman Name Change

Yes have issued their response to ARW's announced earlier this week that they have changed their name to Yes Featuring Anderson, Rabin, Wakeman.

The prog legends had this to say, "While Jon Anderson has rights to use the name as one of the co-owners of the trademark, Yes' position is that every effort should be made by promoters, ticket agencies and all involved to respect Yes' magnificent and loyal fanbase and minimize confusion regarding the use of Yes Featuring Anderson, Rabin, Wakeman."

In the announcement about the name change, original Yes frontman Anderson offered this explanation, "It's very simple. The fans want it, we want it and it's our right to use the name. YES music is in our DNA!"

The rebranding came following the band's long awaited induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last week.

I suppose Ritchie Blackmore could call Blackmores Night Deep Purple now. Or he could call them Rainbow, or call Rainbow Deep Purple. The mind boggles.

Re: Yes veterans reunite for North American tour

A lot of the older bands are still touring under different names and with different line ups.

It's annoying, but the problem is that there's no decent newer artists to take the torch and carry on...so this is what we get.

Personally, I'd rather have an old decimated classic rock band than some young rapper thug twerking on stage.

Jon, Rick and Trevor. Between Red Bank, NJ and Florida, there's this lil ole state called North Carolina. You can't miss it. We wouldn't mind a date here near Charlotte. The other-Yes is doing it!

Re: Yes veterans reunite for North American tour

I support them fully on this. Who the hell does the other Yes even have? With Anderson and Waksman THIS is obviously the real Yes. The other band should resign.

I for years have refused to see Yes after they kicked Anderson out and replaced him with a tribute band singer! This new version of Yes is someone I might actually see.
