Damn it dude... why can't bands be 1/10th as creative as you? Every single one of those albums sounds a lot more interesting than anything that came out in '00s. I mean... there are a lot of amazing albums from the 00s but none with NAMES that are so intriguing as these.

I mean, come on. The Allied Beast Connection? Drunker Than You? I'm in stitches.

I have to save this list and take a look at it when I'm high. I'll die of laughter!

Bahahahaha. I just can't stop laughing at this stuff. It's truly brilliant. The Counter Vulture?? THE COUNTER VULTURE?? What Happened by Frogmen From Venus. Eagl Snif... What time is it in Toronto? Boxes of Chemicals... Covered In Pudding... I bet these album covers would be incredible. And of all things, why would a mathmatically named band have an album called dumbsponge? Or why would a band called dumbsponge release a mathmatically named album?

some damn nice list we have here. Very diverse which is what I expected for the 00's. Genres have really branched out and these lists show it.

The Izzys are loose and tight at the same time the way The Stones can be when everything’s going right. These guys add some good old American twang to that Stonesy sound, and I can never get enough of them. Couldn’t find a video from the first album, so this one will serve as a nice introductory to their last full length.
Just gotta say thanks for recommending this album, I've listened to it a few times now and I really like it. The main reason I checked them out was their awesome name (Izzy Stradlin is pretty much my idol) but the music backs it up. It's not anything new or original, but like you said - if the Stones would make an album this good nowadays I'd be immensely happy.

Re: CRF2 Best of the 00’s Poll: Rules & Voting Thread

Hey, I'm glad you like it! They have a second album, which you can get from the band, on cd, shipped for five bucks in the US. They also released tow ep's of blues, and they're available on itunes and something else, but Mike Story (the singer and guitar player) has assured me that sharing the music for free is totally cool with them. I'll look and see if I can find a valid link for either of those ep's, but if I can't find them, I'll make sure you can get them if you like. The more I listen to them, the more I like them.

Re: CRF2 Best of the 00’s Poll: Rules & Voting Thread

Cool! I streamed the album through spotify, The Violent Bear It Away and Fast And Out Of Control Wins The Race is also available, plus a single called Chaos Himself although I'm not sure if it's all by the same band or some other band called The Izzys since I haven't listened to anything yet.
