Can't do it. Both are deserted island discs. Maybe Who's Next. By a smidgen.

Re: Led Zeppelin IV vs Who's Next

Who's Next by a small amount. ZOSO is more diverse as far as musical styles, but The Who's masterpiece has better songwriting.

Exclamation Re: Led Zeppelin IV vs Who's Next

Who's Next by a comfortable margin. While When the Levee Breaks is right up there with Behind Blue Eyes and my other favourites from Who's Next, I like just about every selection from Who's Next while half the tracks from Led Zeppelin IV do nothing for me at all.

Re: Led Zeppelin IV vs Who's Next

Two defining records of the genre but The Who have not aged well with me. ZoSo on the other hand still revs me up, although I rarely play it.

Many Led Zeppelin tracks would have been much improved had Robert Plant replaced his vocal "sound effects" with the harmonica which he could actually play quite well.

I got the first 1971 decca 8 track and cassette of this album hightea and its as good sounding as the decca record I have from 1971.... Pure analogue glory

I have led zeppelin 4 first release also on record and 8 track.... The 8 track sounds better as the record is quite thin!!! (Its a CRC press and some of those are not good)

The tone and bass is excellent on the record but its quite low volume......

Whats wierd is THE 8 TRACK IS THE SAME CRC ISSUE and that sounds fine.... (Gotta be the thin record)
