Album Title Anagrams

This one pretty much works the same way as the Rock 'N' Roll Anagrams game... Except this time around, we do album titles instead of song titles!

A LIST OF BASIC RULES:

1) The scrambled words of the album title and artist don't necessarily have to be real words, they should just look and feel like some kind of alternate language. But if you're very clever about it, you can always use real words if you want!

2) The word/letter scrambling can definitely cross over outside individual words. But... (And this is a very, very, very big but - and I cannot lie... ...I'm sorry. Where was I? Oh yes...) Absolutely no crossing letters between the album title and the artist's name! They should be completely separate entities! Yeah, perhaps that's an arbitrary rule, but I definitely want to avoid making things too confusing.

3) You can subtract a letter from one scrambled word as long as you add that same letter to another scrambled word. And you're always free to can trade letters between words. (But just remember RULE #2!)

4) Yet another seemingly arbitrary rule, but... When creating an anagram, always use the exact same letters that are in the album title and artist's name, with no outside substitutions of your own!

5) You cannot change the number of words in either the album title or the artist's name! You can scramble the letters as you see fit, you can make letter exchanges between words, and you can subtract a letter from one word and add it to another. But the number of words within titles and names should always remain unchanged! Sure, yeah, you can alter the number of letters within each word, but not the number of words itself! Once again, yeah, I guess it's being arbitrary. But the exact number of words in each album title or artist name serves as a lifeline, or clue. It narrows down and makes things somewhat easier. I want the game to be challenging, but not impossible.

6) Purely optional, but you can always include the scrambled year of the albums' release (in parentheses) if you want to. However, if you're afraid that'll make things too easy, then you can always skip this option!

So without nay durther afo... Let the games begin!

I think I may need a little trip to Hintsville for this one! Could you start off by scrambling the year...?

Re: Album Title Anagrams

I'm pretty sure it's Jethro Tull but I don't know the title.

I'll probably look through their discography and see what I can find.

edit: well, if it is Jethro Tull, I couldn't find anything that matches the scrambled album title.

A Passion Play - Jethro Tull

God, I'm feeling so stupid! Of course! I guess Jethro Tull wasn't really on my mind at the time. Luck of the mental draw, I suppose...

Thanks for the hint, BeatlesFan3287! Or more than a hint, really! I guess we both kind of share the credit for nailing that one.

Sorry, I think I missed the "A" from the first word of the title.

Re: Album Title Anagrams

Kings Lead Hat is a well known anagram of the band, coined by their producer for a song title of his own. 1983

No googling!

Speaking In Tongues - Talking Heads (1983)

Thanks, Krull! But from now on, scramble the year of release! Don't want to make things too easy now, do we? (Not that it's as easy as I thought it would be!)

How exactly do you scramble the year 1983 and it not be totally obvious what year it is? 1938? 1893?

Re: Album Title Anagrams

Saturday Night Fever - The Bee Gees (1977)

Less a proper Bee Gees album than a various-artists soundtrack on which they get the majority of songs!

But hey! Why nitpick...?

We Won DHL Forest - Neque (7191)

(NEW RULE: When you run out of vowels, feel free to use or make up acronyms!)

I thought about that, but I thought it would just be more fun to scramble "The Bee Gees" rather than "Various Disco Artists"
