The Movie Dialogue Cut-Up Conversation Game!

Okay, here's how this is going to work:

I'm going to give a list of some of my favorite lines from my favorite movies. And the object is to "cut up" different words from the lines and use them as part of a line of our own - and we have a little dialogue of our own, back and forth! Simple, right? Here are the lines we'll start out with:

1. "On a long enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero." -- The Narrator (a.k.a. Jack) (Edward Norton), in Fight Club (1999)

2. "Say hello to my little friend!" -- Tony Montana (Al Pacino), in Scarface (1983)

3. "You're not my class, Canton, and you never will be. You'd have to die first and be born again." -- James Averill (Kris Kristofferson), in Heaven's Gate (1980)

4. "Oh, gracious me! Was I raving? Please forgive me. I'm mad!" -- The Gemini Killer (a.k.a. James Venamun) (Brad Dourif), in The Exorcist III: Legion (1990)

5. "No tears, please. It's a waste of good suffering!" -- Pinhead (Doug Bradley), in Hellraiser (1987)

6. "Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room!" -- President Merkin Muffley (Peter Sellers), in Dr. Strangelove, or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb (1964)

7. "The only person who could miss with this gun would be the sucker with the bread to buy it." -- Peter (Ken Foree), in Dawn Of The Dead (1978)

8. "This may be hard for you to accept, but there is no conspiracy. Nobody is in charge. It's a headless blunder operating under the illusion of a masterplan! Can you grasp that? Big Brother is not watching you!" -- Worth (David Hewlett), in Cube (1997)

9. "As long as the music's loud enough, no one can hear the world falling apart!" -- Borgia Ginz (Jack "Orlando" Birkett), in Jubilee (1978)

10. "Leave the gun. Take the cannoli." -- Clemenza (Richard Castellano), in The Godfather (1972)

Re: The Movie Dialogue Cut-Up Conversation Game!

Now, then...out come the scissors, and I will "cut up" and create our first line of dialogue!

1. "On a long enough timeline, the ________ rate for everyone drops to ____." -- The Narrator (a.k.a. Jack) (Edward Norton), in Fight Club (1999)

2. "Say hello to my little friend!" -- Tony Montana (Al Pacino), in Scarface (1983)

3. "You're not my class, Canton, and you never will be. You'd have to ___ first ___ __ ____ _____." -- James Averill (Kris Kristofferson), in Heaven's Gate (1980)

7. "The only person who could miss with this gun would be the sucker with the bread to buy it." - Peter (Ken Foree), in Dawn Of The Dead (1978)

8. "This may be hard for you to accept, but _____ __ no conspiracy. Nobody is in charge. It's a headless blunder operating under the illusion __ a masterplan! ___ ___ grasp that? Big Brother is not watching you!" -- Worth (David Hewlett), in Cube (1997)

9. "As long as the music's loud enough, no one can hear the world falling apart!" - Borgia Ginz (Jack "Orlando" Birkett), in Jubilee (1978)

10. "Leave the gun. Take the cannoli." -- Clemenza (Richard Castellano), in The Godfather (1972)

Darth Pazuzu: "Can you die and be born again, or is there zero chance of survival after death?"

(Now just remember, you have to carry over the entire list as well as the new lines of dialogue into the next post! )
