Peter Criss Not Up To Playing Full KISS Farewell Tour Shows Says Ace

Original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley continues to express interest in taking part in the band's farewell tour but believes that if his former bandmate Peter Criss were to be involved it would have to be on a limited basis.

Ace was asked by VintageRock.com if he would be part of the tour even if Peter was not involved. He responded, "I think it would be great if Peter was involved. Obviously, at this point in his life, he wouldn't be able to do a two-hour show.

"But I can see if we worked out a situation where Peter came out at the end and did three or four songs - sang 'Beth', did 'Black Diamond' and a couple of others, I think that would be fun."

Ace Frehley Prepared To Replace Tommy On KISS Farewell Tour

Original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley said in an interview that he is prepared to put his upcoming solo tour dates on hold if he gets a call to replace the band's current guitarist Tommy Thayer on this farewell tour.

Ace appeared on a SiriusXM show (listen here) late last year and had this to say about his former band's End Of The Road tour, "There's always a chance I might get that emergency phone call. "But pretty much I think it's built into my... I told my agent to build into my contract, in the event I do get an emergency phone call and KISS wants me to join the tour and take over for Tommy, that I can get out of the dates that I have booked for the summer.

"So we'll see what happens. You know me - I'm the kind of guy that says 'never say never.' But at this juncture, I have no plans on performing on the upcoming KISS tour, and I haven't gotten any phone calls or had any correspondence. So that's where it stands at this juncture."

Re: KISS Announce First Dates Of Farewell Tour

KISS Lip-Synching Accusations Slammed By Bach

KISS frontman Paul Stanley has been accused of lip-syncing during the band's live performances, which has prompted Sebastian Bach to refute the claims after watching the band at one of the shows of their farewell tour.

The accusations that Stanley has been using backing tracks live have comes from radio personality Eddie Trunk, as well as fans on social media, apparently from watching video clips of recent performances.

The former Skid Row frontman, who attended a concert in Anaheim, Ca countered such claims, via Twitter. He said, "I am saying that I went to see Kiss and I f***ing saw Kiss. I listened to Paul Stanley sing his ass off LIVE."

Bach also responded to a tweet by Trunk and replies that it received. He said, "What shows on this Kiss tour did you guys go to? Because of course you wouldn't offer an opinion on a show you didn't even go to? Right?"

In other exchanges, Bach replied, "Kiss hit the exact same notes last night in Anaheim that they did in their 30s. I don't know what show you went to". And "Kiss is not lip syncing. There are too busy putting on the greatest rock show you will ever see. Or not."
