Exclamation How I came to terms with rap!

I came to terms with rap the moment I realized that it made disco sound good by comparison. This meant of course that I no longer needed to limit myself to just looking at the pictures on Donna Summer and Amanda Lear's album covers, I could actually give the records a play too! Tacky but fun. After all, these performers were just old fashioned girl groups updated to 1980.

Re: How I came to terms with rap!

I'll take rap over that for almost every second of every day of all-time. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, I think it could be totally awesome in theory, but I haven't been able to actually enjoy it as of yet. Rap and disco are pretty closely related in the fact that a lot of rap is based around the dance scene as well (and as much). No suprises, the dance-oriented rap is the rap that I don't like.

peace

i grew up with rap, it can be good but its not something a normal person can learn to like. you have to have the mentality to not mind the lyrical content. i love gangsta rap like n.w.a and ice cube, and i also like classic rock! :)

Re: How I came to terms with rap!

I came to terms with Rap when I realized that it was a legitimate, and often extraordinary form of music.

P.S. Foxy Brown is a hottie.

If her first name was Stanky, then her name would be much more appropriate.

I haven't and I probably won't. And don't care to.
