Yes to Embark On Their 50th Anniversary Tour

Yes to Embark On Their 50th Anniversary Tour, Releasing New Recording of "Fly From Here"

The year 2018 marks half a century since the formation of the legendary group Yes, one of the biggest bands in prog rock history and true pioneers of the genre. To celebrate the milestone, Yes, Steve Howe (guitar since 1970), Alan White (drums since 1972), Geoff Downes (keyboards; first joined in 1980), Jon Davison (vocals since 2011) and Billy Sherwood (guitar/keyboards in the 1990s and the late Chris Squire’s choice to take over bass/vocals in 2015), will embark on a 50th Anniversary North American summer tour, on the heels of a European outing which kicks off tonight (March 13) in the UK.

Re: Yes to Embark On Their 50th Anniversary Tour

Is it really Yes without Chris Squire? Nobody could play bass like him.

Of course, it's not The Who at all without Keith and John, but that's another story.

Re: Yes to Embark On Their 50th Anniversary Tour

The first time I saw Yes was 47 years ago (Gaelic Park in the Bronx). Last time was in 2012 with Benoît David as the singer (it was really a pretty good show). But things are different and I think I'll pass on this one.

Yes Announce 50th Anniversary Live At The Apollo

Yes Featuring Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin and Rick Wakeman will release "50th Anniversary Live At The Apollo" on DVD, Blu-ray, 2CD & 3LP on September 7.

In 2016, the trio hit the road for a series of concerts celebrating Yes' musical legacy of the seventies, eighties and nineties. Following a North American run, the group brought their live show to the UK in early 2017 and were captured in a sold-out performance at the Manchester Apollo.

With audio mixed by Paul Linford and Trevor Rabin, the package presents new live versions of classic tracks from the iconic progressive rock outfit, including "Roundabout," "Owner Of A Lonely Heart," "And You And I," "Hold On," "Heart Of The Sunrise," "Rhythm Of Love," "I've Seen All Good People," "Awaken" and many more.
