Hey, zeppboy -- you like the harder stuff, don't you? And by that, I don't mean the growling vocals, but still the loud distorted guitars and stuff, right?

I think you'd like this new Therion disk. It's a two-disk set, called Lemuria/Sirius B. It's got my head banging.

I love the new Attacker album...in fact, I'm hooked only after a couple days.

As for newer bands:

Coldplay I really like, the Rush of Blood to the Head album is good for mellowing out.

I'll think of more.

Since finding the Internet Music Archive (A must visit) and getting back into listening to some Jam-Band stuff, I stumbled onto Sound Tribe Sector 9. Great stuff....

Mars Volta has a new album coming out. Looking forward to it.

My recent suggestions: Interpol and Modest Mouse. I am really digging Interpol especially. Their new album is really good.

I heard their first album was much better. If that's the case I got to get it.

I've been getting into The Dresden Dolls really heavily lately. It's just piano and drums but that drummer is wicked. Amanda is a pretty good frontperson too.

They call it punk cabaret.

One that's gotten my attention lately is the Scissor Sisters self titled first album.

Same here, Building Something Out Of Nothing is my favorite from their back catalogue so far...

Ditto! A friend of mine downloaded a live concert from Germany off of Usenet, and I was reminded, again, just how great that drummer is. Brian Viglione. He just might be my new favourite drummer. My sister saw the same video, and she said, "He just might have the perfect stage presence."
