I see Doom and Gloom making several lists:

It only hit #61 on the U.K. charts though and didn't chart in the States at all. Of course it's not the dance pop that sells these days and the teenage hit buying public isn't exactly interested in septuagenarian hit makers anyway. How though do you think Doom and Gloom might have done had it been released in 1972 at the time of Exile on Main Street? Would it be now mentioned in the same breath as Jumping Jack Flash, Honky Tonk Women, Brown Sugar and Miss You?

How is 'She's So Cold' not on that list?

But it's on two out of the four lists submitted so far, and ours are better than Michael Madden's list anyway. Yours though is still missing....

Re: The 10 Best Rolling Stones Songs Post-Some Girls

1. How Can I Stop
2. Start Me Up
3. You Got Me Rockin'
4. One Hit (To the Body)
5. Thru and Thru
6. Thief in the Night
7. I Go Wild (not terrific lyrically, but the old Stones groove is strong in this one.)
8. The Worst
9. You Don't Have to Mean It
10. Too Tight

Obviously, I'm a huge fan of Keith's tunes on Voodoo Lounge and Bridges to Babylon!

I'm adding these two to make it an even dozen:

Re: The 10 Best Rolling Stones Songs Post-Some Girls

I’d hardly count Rough Justice as the best track on Bigger Bang. It’s just another generic arena bumper, a shadow compared to You Got Me Rockin or Start Me Up. Back of My Hand and Laugh, I Nearly Died are two smooth, moody cuts that I think really add something to the Stones discography.
