Re: Grand Funk Railroad vs. Slade!

I don't own a single Slade lp....for some reason they never popped up on my music radar...but the first 3 or 4 Funk lp's are decent and the 'Red' one is a damn good hard rock blues outing imho.

Re: Blood, Sweat & Tears vs. Three Dog Night!

I don't think same genre is irrelevant..I think it's the whole point....;in that case why not have a poll comparing The Monkees to Jimi Henridx or say....Abba to Led Zeppelin...?

Re: Phil May Of The Pretty Things Passes

They are both excellent albums....SF Sorrow is often claimed as the first rock opera...though Who fans will argue on that.
Parachute is also very good.
I'll pull them out....I have about 800 lp's and...

Re: Covers that are better than the originals!

Stones version is better, but Faithfull claims Jagger ripped her off since she claims she co-wrote it with him.

Re: Blood, Sweat & Tears vs. Three Dog Night!

You could easily have compared BST and Chicago...both in the same type of genre.....3 Dog was always pop rock to me...but they did have a few decent radio songs.

Re: The Dave Clark Five versus Paul Revere & the Raiders!

The Raiders......the guitar player was very good and I liked the songs they came up with...Dave Clark 5 had some nice hits but the music was a bit too 'regular' for me.

Re: 7 Classic Rock Songs for Mother's Day - WROR

Not surprised they didn't list this one.....Lennon's angst about his mom ..and dad. That first lp of his is one of my favorites in the 'Beatle' pantheon.
