I think Grand Funk are more accessible to those who like top 40 radio. They did have a number of radio songs back in the day and several were pretty tame like Some KInd of Wondeful and Locomotion....

I like that...nice psych folk rock....many bands were doing that style in the late 60's.
Skip Prokop formed Lighthouse...I have several of their lps. 'One Fine Morning' is a good one.

The guitarist for Tomorrow was the great Steve Howe who of course went on to fame with Yes.
Fire had Dave Lambert who played for the Strawbs in the 70's.
