Exclamation Tracks featuring a talk box!

A talk box can be said to do the same to voices as a wah-wah pedal does to guitar playing. Peter Frampton gave the device mainstream notoriety in the rock world with these two defining tracks:





Other musicians have of course made use of the talk box as well. Here's another example I really like:

A debate continues as to what is being used on Sly and the Family Stone's song "Sex Machine". The majority believe that a Vocoder is used. Possibly? Others think it could be a Talk or Voice Box. Just for argument sake I'll add that it might be vocals augmented through a Leslie. You decide.

Mr. Roboto seems to be the most obvious example but the voice effect in the track was achieved not with a talk box but with a vocoder which is a completely different technological device:
