Re: What Are You Listening To?

I really like track two, it's hard finding the time to sit and listen to new stuff, my Son sends me links for bands and songs... The radio shows that showcased new & upcoming bands have all but disappeared here.

Re: What Are You Listening To?

When I first saw this album sleeve through a shop window, I thought it was a new release from Budgie!
It's rocky and proggy and relatively far from the Moodys. He passed away this time last year.

Graeme Edge - In Dreams.

Reminds me of the Baker Gurvitz Army lps...same artist perhaps.
Adrian and Paul Gurvitz were in both bands and were from their band Three Man Army

Re: What Are You Listening To?

Yeah... I have that Three Man Army on pegasus.. Sometimes these solo albums are very good, was listening to a CD in the car of Tony Bank's solo effort.. a few good tracks.

Re: What Are You Listening To?

... Ginger on drums, magic-but a very grumpy guy. This band had a singer that went on to score soundtracks for big movies.. 9 1/2 Weeks being one? (not sure.)

Re: What Are You Listening To?

Pulled this out, never seen the album and the CD is mixed up loud!
It's quite a heavy prog outing... but well worth adding to your collection.

Blackwater Park - Roundabout.

Re: What Are You Listening To?

Shoot, this Rock Lounge gets buried fast!
I will mention the death of Wilko Johnson, an innovator from Canvey Island. In recent years many will know him from Game Of Thrones.. but I like his Telecaster finger scratches for Dr. Feelgood.
Up there now with Lee Brillaux.
RIP.

Re: What Are You Listening To?

.. here's an album that has simultaneously ran and rubbed alongside my life since teen times. Carried a cassette made copy to Europe, the States and beyond, survived several women and houses and still sits with me here. From If I Could Only Remember My Name, features Joni Mitchell, Gerry Garcia and Graham Nash.

David Crosby - Laughing.

Yes I agree, always thought this was an ideal soundtrack for Easy Rider PT. 2

Re: What Are You Listening To?

Mickie Most did a fine job with this band, running that guitar riff-
through a keyboard... genius!

Hot Chocolate - Emma.

The Clash covered it very well, here in 1967 style...

The Equals - Police On My Back.
