Bought it when it first released (another of my 50 year old collection). My favorite album by Mountain. Still in my constant rotation today. I was lucky to catch them live several times back in the day. One of those bands that was simply amazing live (and there are no live albums that do them justice). Their live shows give real meaning to the term "thunderous". Here's a live version of a song from "Climbing" recorded at the Fillmore East (I can bet you I was there that night).

I was lucky enough to see them in Chicago in 71...around the time Nantucket came out.... thunderous indeed , but great.

I saw your post but did not recognize the video so decided to check it out. About 10 seconds into the video I nearly fell out of my chair when I recognized the scoreboard from Roosevelt Stadium, Jersey City, New Jersey. I must have gone to at least a half a dozen shows there (not the show with Russell). I saw Pink Floyd, Chicago, The Dead (I don't remember to much from that show - I got F'ed up that night), Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (the same night Richard Nixon resigned). Roosevelt Stadium is also famous for being the place where Jackie Robinson made his professional baseball debut on April 18, 1946. Sadly the stadium is long gone, demolished in 1985 and replaced with (what else) condos. Great memories though (except the Dead show).

I like Del Shannon. I didn't pay much attention until the great (but short lived) TV show "Crime Story" used "Runaway" as its opening. This is the "Crime Story" version but I like both.
