Whammer Jammer
Where Did Our Love Go (from Blow Your Face Out Live)

Also have to add:

Groovin' — Rascals
Livin' In the USA — Steve Miller Band
Song for Jeffery — Jethro Tull
Leave a Tender Moment Alone — Billy Joel (Toots on the harp)

Re: Top Pop Tunes Showcasing the Harmonica!

Just realised 13th Floor Elevators' You're Gonna Miss Me has a bit of a harmonica solo at the end.

Beau Brummels - Just a Little

...excuse me, but where's the harmonica in that one? Replace it with 'You tell me why' and you've got something (although that wasn't exactly a chart-topper, but a very nice song nonetheless)...

Right here, on this live track (beginning and around 1:00 mark):

But perhaps you were thinking of Laugh Laugh, here done lip-synch:

Am I imagining things or has Bruce Springsteen's Thunder Road not been mentioned yet?

Also, what about Billy Joel's Piano Man?

Re: Top Pop Tunes Showcasing the Harmonica!

The Stones' "Look What You've Done" is better than any of the other Stones tunes you have there.

Also, "Goin' Home" needs to be mentioned.

This one will blow your speakers out if you're not careful. A very nice harp overlaying the killer bass rhythm:

Hmmm ... I can't seem to find any songs where Jack Bruce is playing the harmonica ...
I can't remember the song at the top of my head, but there is a song on which he does a long harmonica solo on Cream Royal Albert reunion...

Interesting about the harp on those Beau Brummels tunes. It's very clearly there in those Youtube videos but there's no harp on "Just a Little" on either my 45 rpm single nor on my "North Beach Legends" vinyl LP issued by Sundazed records. While my 45 rpm single of "Laugh Laugh" has the harp, the track from the "North Beach Legends" LP does not. I wonder if the harp was added in a subsequent remixing of the tunes because it really does add a lot to the sound.
