Miley Cyrus Posts Nude Photo to Announce She's Performing at Woodstock 50 Alongside JAY-Z and More

Miley Cyrus has some big news!

On Tuesday, Cyrus, 26, shared a photo of herself posing on a lawn chair in the middle of the desert, wearing nothing but a yellow and orange checkered bucket hat to announce she’s performing at Woodstock 50 Music and Arts Fair — the three-day 50th-anniversary celebration of the iconic music festival.

“Festival season is here, I’m queer, and ready to party! 🌈🌈🌈 lets go summer 2019!” Cyrus captioned the post.

The “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” singer also posted a shot, which shows her seated on a giant rooster — this time dressed in a t-shirt and slides.

“Woodstock here I come! When I’m not riding a wrecking ball, you can find me on a giant cock 🐔 🐓🐔🐓🐔🐓🐔🐓🐔🐓,” Cyrus wrote in reference to the music video of her song “Wrecking Ball.”

This just about sums up the current state of music for me. It's just a giant photo op.

If the cell phone towers go out during the Woodstock 50 concert, all you'll be able to hear is a loud chorus of:

LANDRU, Help me! Help me! Help me! Help me!

The Black Keys Cancel Woodstock 50 Performance

The Black Keys have announced that they’ll no longer be performing at Woodstock 50, the upstate New York event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the original Woodstock festival. The band was initially set to join acts like The Killers, Jay-Z, Chance the Rapper, Imagine Dragons, and Dead & Company at the August festival, but have now announced that they won’t be performing because of a scheduling conflict.

Rob Thomas says he might reunite with Santana in concert to celebrate 20th anniversary of "Smooth"

Santana is celebrating a few major milestones this year — the 50th anniversary of the band’s debut album and historic performance at Woodstock, and the 20th anniversary of its hugely successful comeback album Supernatural and its lead single, “Smooth.”

“Smooth,” which was released in June of 1999, featured guest lead vocals by Matchbox Twenty frontman Rob Thomas, who tells ABC Radio that he and Carlos Santana are trying to schedule a show together to celebrate the anniversary while both are out on the road this year.

Woodstock mastermind releases treasure trove of keepsakes for new 50th anniversary book

The notes and plans that went into creating the Woodstock festival in 1969 are to be included in a new book to mark the 50th anniversary of the event.

For the first time, the festival’s visionary Michael Lang is offering up correspondence, stage designs and even information about the artists’ fees, so that music history buffs can see what went into organising the Summer of Love celebration.

The official 50th-anniversary book on the festival will also include hundreds of photographs of the likes of Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Crosby, Stills Nash & Young, Richie Havens, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Santana, Janis Joplin, Joan Baez, Country Joe McDonald, and the Grateful Dead taken by photographers such as Ralph Ackerman, Elliott Landy, Baron Wolman, and Henry Diltz, whose coverage of Woodstock began two weeks before hippies and music fans descended on Max Yasgur’s farm in Bethel, New York.

Lang has also organised a 50th anniversary concert at Watkins Glen in New York in August (19). Headliners include JAY-Z, The Killers and Dead & Company, while John Fogerty, Santana, John Sebastian, Country Joe McDonald, Canned Heat, and Hot Tuna, who all took part in the original 1969 festival will perform.

REPORT: Woodstock Cancellation Looms As Ticket On-Sale Pushed Back Indefinitely

Woodstock’s 50th anniversary is set up to be absolutely legendary, with a stacked and diverse lineup. However, there’s also a fear setting in that this too-good-to-be-true event will flop.

First red flag: The Black Keys dropped out.

Second red flag: The official on sale has been pushed back to an undisclosed date.

According to Billboard, Booking agents were informed of the delay, which was set for April 22 — “There is currently a hold on the Woodstock 50 on-sale date.”

Woodstock 50 Ticket On-Sale Postponed

Organizers deny cancellation rumors

The ticket on-sale for Woodstock 50, a commemorative event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 1969 Woodstock music festival, has been pushed back.

On Friday, agents received an email regarding the change to the festival slated for August 16-18 at the Watkins Glen International speedway in upstate New York saying, “There is currently a hold on the Woodstock 50 on-sale date. We are waiting on an official press statement from Woodstock 50 regarding updated announce, ticket pricing, and overall festival information. Woodstock's 50th: John Fogerty of Creedence to cap anniversary weekend at Bethel Woods

Woodstock veteran John Fogerty of Creedence Clearwater Revival will return in August to the site of the famous festival to wrap up a 50th anniversary celebration weekend.

Fogerty's Aug. 18 concert at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Sullivan County will mirror Creedence Clearwater Revival’s set at the original Woodstock Music and Art Fair, which was held Aug. 15-18, 1969. The festival drew hundreds of thousands of people for dozens of acts that also included The Who and Carlos Santana.

Special guest announcements and ticket information for Fogerty's upcoming show at Bethel Woods will be announced. The show will cap four days of events at Bethel Woods. And, it will cap a busy weekend for at least two former Woodstock performers.

Bethel Woods finalizes Woodstock anniversary weekend lineup

The original Woodstock site has finalized its 50th anniversary weekend concert lineup.

John Fogerty announced Wednesday that he will perform with “special guests” at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts on Sunday, Aug. 18, exactly half a century after he performed at the Woodstock Music and Arts Fair in 1969 with Creedence Clearwater Revival. Ticket information has not been announced.

The former CCR frontman will close out the Woodstock anniversary weekend in Bethel, N.Y., which includes a free concert by Arlo Guthrie and a screening of the “Woodstock” documentary on the field Thursday, Aug. 15; Ringo Starr, Guthrie, and The Edgar Winter Band on the pavilion stage Friday, Aug. 16; and Santana with the Doobie Brothers on Saturday, Aug. 17. Guthrie, Winter and Santana all performed at the original Woodstock festival with Fogerty.

Prices for Starr, Guthrie and Winter start at $33 through Ticketmaster; tickets for Santana and the Doobie Brothers start at $48.

Back to the garden? Not for the 50th anniversary of the Woodstock festival | Mulshine

The official 50th anniversary Woodstock concert is scheduled to be held this August. The chosen site is in Watkins Glen, which is 150 miles from the site of the original concert in Bethel, N.Y.

Guess what person who actually went to the original Woodstock concert won’t be going to this one?

That’s right: me.
