It's Soundgarden for me by a very large margin! Chris Cornell was, in my humble opinion, the greatest rock songwriter of the '90s. I was absolutely dumbstruck and heartbroken on hearing of his death - especially coming so soon after the loss of David Bowie.
Don't get me wrong: I happen to really love the other three bands in this poll. (My order of preference - after Soundgarden - would be Pearl Jam, Nirvana and Alice In Chains.) However... I must ask the question: What about Screaming Trees and Mudhoney??  |
