I was at a Pearl Jam concert a number of years ago, Evenflow came on. The entire arena sang it word-for-word and Eddie's vocals fit perfectly into the crowd with great synchronicity. In that moment, it sounded better than any song I had ever heard or been a part of.
Then Mike McCready broke into a guitar solo that was a fusion of Pearl Jam and Jimi Hendrix, which caught us all by surprise. The entire crowd spontaneously erupted in cheers. I could have swore there was an earthquake and the arena was floating off it's rafters. So... |
