"Yip, yip, yip, arrrooowwww!!!! This is your top rock & roll animal on any board, Foxhound, coming to you live on Hit Radio WOWW. And I've got a whole spindle full of sweet soul music to play tonight, yes I do! But first this word from the governor's mansion up in Bâton Rouge:

Yes, please, stay the hell home! You've got most everything you need there anyway, beer, whiskey, Cheetos, Hostess Fruit Pies, Pornhub, etc.

Here now are the hits!

That's it for tonight! But tune in again tomorrow."

"The flick we're screening tonight in the staff lounge is 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail' from 1975:

Hilarious! Absolutely hilarious."

"Yip, yip, yip, arrrrrooowwww!!! This is your ever loving Foxhound coming to you live on Hit Radio WOWW. How many of you listeners understand Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese or any of them other languages for foreigners? Well if you do, I've got a special all foreign language show for you listeners with one of those education thingies! First though a few words from our sponsor:

Yes, when you want a breakfast cereal to give you a good start to the day, there's one that stands out clearly from the crowd! Ask for it by name at your corner grocery store.

And now for the hits!

That's it for tonight! But tune in again tomorrow."

"The flick we're screening tonight in the staff lounge is 'Monty Python's Life of Brian' from 1979:

I've not enjoyed too many movies more than this one. 'Nuff said."

"Yip, yip, yip, arrrroooowwww!!! This is Foxhound your one and only Baron de Bienville coming to you live and off colour on Hit Radio WOWW! Tonight we'll be featuring another excellent band out of the mists of time and one that's very difficult to categorize partially because they had two separate and distinct hit making eras. First though a few words from our sponsor:

Yes, the 'New Adventures of Mighty Mouse'! On better TV stations from coast-to-coast.

So now here they are, the Bee Gees!

That's it for tonight! But tune in again tomorrow."

"The flick we're screening tonight in the staff lounge is 'Theatre of Blood' from 1973:

An excellent flick with Vincent Price and Diana Rigg as the leads."

Exclamation Re: WOWW Radio!

"Yip, yip, yip, arrrroooowwww! This is Foxhound the Weather Wizard of New Orléans coming to you live on Hit Radio WOWW. Here we still have 23,000 people living in shelters as a result of Hurricane Laura smashing into western Louisiana on August 27th and now Hurricane Sally is due to come ashore sometime overnight a few dozen miles east of Louisiana somewhere between Biloxi and Mobile Bay. Fortunately Sally now seems to be weakening. Tornadoes spawned along the storm's perimeter could present just as serious a problem to we the good residents of New Orléans though.

So batten down the hatches and let's try to get through this latest weather emergency with another page from my prog goon playlist. First though this word from our sponsor:

Yes, reach for Colt 45 when you just wanna get wasted!

That's it for tonight! But tune in again tomorrow - weather permitting of course."

"The flick we're screening tonight in the staff lounge is 'Asylum' from 1972:

Not bad!

"Yip, yip, yip, arrrroooowwww! This is Foxhound the Weather Wizard of New Orléans braving the storm to come to you live on Hit Radio WOWW. Hurricane Sally has slowed to a crawl and may not hit landfall somewhere between Mobile, Alabama and Pensacola, Florida until noon today. While Sally's wind velocity has died down, her slow movement means that the Gulf Coast continues to get heavy rains of up to thirty inches in some areas. This means severe flooding in vulnerable areas. So make sure your scuba diving gear and bass boats are in good order!

Tonight we'll be featuring the music of the Moody Blues but first a word from our sponsor:

Yes, animals are indeed the funniest people! Ask for the DC comics in which the funniest animals of them all appear in your local comic shop. And if you get a dumb look from the millennial across the counter, take your business elsewhere.

And now for the hits:

That's it for tonight! Stay dry or else engage in some water sports. Your life, your choice."

"Yip, yip, yip, arrrroooowwww!!! This is Foxhound the Weather Wizard of New Orléans coming to you live on Hit Radio WOWW. Well it's a good day for the fish but the rest of us are rather wishing the rain would stop. We've missed the brunt of it here in New Orléans but the good folk in our listening area from Mobile Bay and eastward across the Florida Panhandle are enduring heavy flooding as Hurricane Sally related torrential rainfall continues unabated.

Nonetheless I've got a great show featuring some of the best instrumentals of all time stacked up to play tonight but first a word from our sponsor, the Louisiana Speed Boat Dealers' Association:

Water high? No problem! We can fix you up proper! So come on in to any of our showrooms and we can give you a great deal on a boat that'll get you there - and fast!

Here now are the hits:

That's it for this rainy Wednesday evening! But tune in again tomorrow."

"Yip, yip, yip, arrrrooowwww! This is Brer Foxhound coming to you live on Hit Radio WOWW! And if you think we Cajuns are oppressed by all the Anglos and Hispanics in these here parts and you're in the mood for protesting, you've come to the right spot on the dial because tonight we're going to listen to a few more of the greatest folk songs of all time.

But first a word from our sponsor, the Sundae Syrup Toppings Society of America:

Yes, a day without a banana split is worse than finding a padlock on the door of your favourite strip joint.

Now here are the hits!

That's it for tonight! But tune in again tomorrow."

"The flick we're screening tonight in the staff lounge is 'Heaven's Prisoners' from 1996:

Based on James Lee Burke's series of best sellers featuring Cajun cop Dave Robichaud and unlike far too many movies, it can be praised for being a relatively faithful adaptation of the novel."

"Yip, yip, yip, arrrroooowwwww!!!! This is Foxhound your Prince of Rockness coming to you live on Hit Raqdio WOWW where we just keep on hitting! Pesky hurricanes be damned. They ain't gonna stop us from playing the hits, no sireeee! Tonight we're going to feature more of the hits of one of my favourite bands, the Animals!

First though this word from our sponsor. Why pay New Orléans prices for a speed boat when we the Boat Dealers of Biloxi can offer you a better deal? We here in Biloxi pay far less rent and thus have lower overhead overall than does any dealer in New Orléans and we pass those savings along to you! So make the short drive to Biloxi and we'll make you a deal you won't believe.

And if you need a tour guide cum pilot for your vessel, we have the very friendliest hostesses available for hire here in Biloxi. Let them demonstrate their skills and take you on a tour of the canals!

Here now are the hits!

That's it for tonight! But tune in again tomorrow."

"The flick we're screening tonight in the staff lounge is 'Rope' from 1948:

James Stewart in an Alfred Hitchcock thriller!"

"This is Foxhound the one and only Viscount of Rock Excellence coming to you live on Hit Radio WOWW. And tonight I'm going to take you my loyal listeners into uncharted territory while continuing to play hits from the charts. This means we're going to go where only I, Foxhound, still dare to tread. Yes, you guessed it, tonight we're going to do some disco!

First though a word from our sponsor:

Yes, Gaines Burgers! Roscoe's favourite! He gulps them down by the box.

Time now to get out those white leisure suits and black boot heels and get out on the dance floor!

Hey, if John Travolta can work in a hardware store and go dancing in those shoes, well that tells you something. Don't ask me what though. What do you think I am, some sort of sociologist?

That's it for tonight! But tune in again tomorrow - if you dare!

"Yip, yip, yip, arrrroooowwww!!! This is WOWW Radio and I'm Professor Foxhound bringing you all the wax that's happening! And I've got another great Psychedelic Sunday Show today, but first a word from our sponsor, Skater Powerboats!

Yes, when you need to beat the traffic to escape the long arm of the Louisiana Infernal Revenue Service quickly, a Skater 46 Pleasure boat is what you need. Its twin 1075 cubic inch Mercury Racing engines put out 1500 horsepower each enabling the Skater 46 to attain a maximum speed of 175 mph and cruise all day at 100 mph. There's no question. A Skater 46 is for those times when you absolutely, positively need to get up the Mississippi to Memphis or across the Gulf to Corpus Christi or St. Petersburg fast!

Here now are the hits!

That's it for tonight! But tune in again tomorrow."

"Yip, yip, yip, arrrrroooowwwww!!! This is your main man Foxhound, the doctor of cool coming to you live here on Hit Radio WOWW from the heart of New Orléans! So are all of you listeners still into blues-rock? Yes?! I thought so! Well then you're really going to love tonight's show because its devoted to some of the very best blues-rock tunes of all time!

First though a word from our sponsor. You've probably been hearing a lot lately about various fancy power boats with staggering horsepower ratings and top end speeds. But it takes no more than a moment's reflection to realize that these boats will wallow like pigs in a sty if anyone ever dared to take them into the bayou. When you venture into the Louisiana bayou, you're going to need a boat that can do 180s on a dime in less than a foot of water.

Yes when you venture into the bayou, you're going to need a Sea-Doo jet boat if you want to do some real boating!

Here now are the hits:

That's it for tonight! But tune in again tomorrow."

"I can't believe it! But Madame Scout called it when she told me to expect a visitor from 'out of nowhere' and that's exactly what it was!

Yes, Hepcat, the dastardly one himself! Boy, was that a surprise. I didn't know he was still in this part of the country. Together with Hazeleyes, the three of us ruled the airwaves from these WOWW studios in the early part of this century.

He said though that he was actually here on business. Evidently he's set himself up as an advertising consultant. He advises companies on how and where to get the maximum bang for their advertising bucks and he actually handles the ad placements for certain clients himself! He told me that WOWW's expanding footprint had not escaped his attention. He said that he was a regular listener himself because he's still a great fan of classic rock.

So I showed him our current setup here in the studio. We then sat down to discuss some numbers with the refreshing beverages that Madeline had graciously mixed up for the two of us:

He drove a hard bargain but eventually we shook on a big advertising deal involving multiple different product placements. We then kicked back to reminisce on old times for a couple of hours. Madeline was more than congenial and prepared huckleberry sundaes to make sure that our throats wouldn't get too dry.

She said we couldn't be too careful with this pandemic thing going around but when it comes to dairy products I don't think Hepcat needs much convincing.

Before he left though, I showed him the upgrades I'd made to the staff lounge. Well his eyes bugged out! He was all over the pinball machines:

He said he was an old hand at pinball and so I challenged him to a game for all the marbles (the ones we keep in our pockets anyway). I thought I'd clean up on my own machines but he was good, damn good!

We eventually agreed to call it a draw and up the stakes to an old Liberty silver dollar next time."

"Yip, yip, yip, arrroooowwww!!! This is Rock Meister Foxhound coming to you live on Hit Radio WOWW! And I've got another great show tonight spotlighting the hits of the Godfather of Soul himself! That's right, James Brown! But first a word from our sponsor:

Yes, Vlasic Pickles! Look for the old stork on the bottle. You'll like the crunch, guaranteed!

And now for the hits!

That's it for tonight! But tune in again tomorrow."

"So the dastardly feline came around again earlier today:

He had tapes of all the ads he wants to air over the next few weeks. Better yet he had a wad of cash to pay for the ads (the two of us deal strictly in cash of course). While we worked out a schedule for the ads, Nurse Madeline graciously mixed up a couple of drinks:

After we took care of business, I brought out a few of my favourite chews and challenged him to an old fashioned bubble gum blowing contest:

Well he certainly didn't need any convincing. Bubble for bubble, the game was on!

Even Madeline got in on the action!

Hepcat was blowing some pretty impressive bubbles and he was on the verge of getting the decision, but then he blew it:

Heeeee, heeeee!!!"

"Yip, yip, yip, arrrrooowwww!!! This is your Prince of Rockness Foxhound the hit master of New Orléans coming to you live on Hit Radio WOWW. Tonight we'll be featuring one of the greatest chanteuses of the 1960's, Petula Clark, but first a word from our sponsor:
