I Hate Grunge!

Following the formula our friend Hodad used with punk music, if i may, i would like to ask if you hate GRUNGE music that came out in the late 80's and the early 90's.

It's my second favorite subcategory of rock, behind Classic.

I like most of it...although, as is the case with many genres, there are such huge differences between the bands given the label so it is pretty meaningless to me.

My favourite grunge artists include Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Screaming Trees, Mother Love Bone, The Afghan Whigs, and Tad.

i love it! i was really into the scene in the early nineties and got to see most of the bands live, including Nirvana. These days i still listen to a lot of grunge, particularly Pearl Jam, Screaming Trees, and Nirvana.

"some of it's ok" I like Soundgarden a lot and then I like some albums from Nirvana and Pearl Jam, Other than that I haven't really explored grunge.

If you're including all the bands that were lumped into it I'd say I like most of it.

I got Nirvana's Live at the Paramount (A concert in Seattle just before Nevermind broke huge) and it's awesome.

I think people that dont like grunge stopped listening to rock in the 80s. Grunge saved rock an metal for while - until the internet came along.

I love a lot of it. There are some clunkers in there but I listen to bands like PJ, Nirvana, Mudhoney, Afghan Whigs, Soundgarden and Screaming Trees more than any of the big 70's bands (not named Led Zeppelin or Aerosmith).

Some of it is ok

The only bands to come out of that era that were any good were Alice In Chains and Smashing Pumpkins.
