Anyone Who Had a Heart by Dionne Warwick was released in November 1963 and reached #8 on the Billboard Hot 100:
Warwick's recording didn't do as well in the United Kingdom though where it stalled at #42 on the hit chart. This was largely because a cover by Cilla Black that was released on 31 January 1964 proved much more popular. Black's version not only reached #1 in the U.K. but ended up as the fourth best selling single of 1964 as well as the top U.K. chart hit by a female vocalist in the 1960's: Atomic Kitten released a cover in 2008 which wasn't actually any better than the aforementioned versions but hey, the visuals are dandy:
