Re: °What's On My Racks°

... even though the Stones placed a demo in the UK music press in '71 for this crud compilation (Decca released it to coincide with Sticky Fingers)... one track is stand-out... Ron Malo captures Ian Stewart on piano and Brian Jones on harmonica just right...with echo on his harp wailing.. what the band laid down in two days at Chess Studio was a hefty batch of blues that should have constituted as a release in it's own right.
This track plods along just fine.

Rolling Stones - Look What You've Done.

He played in short stints with many bands like Family, KC, UK, Roxy, Asia, Uriah Heep and Wishbone Ash.

Re: °What's On My Racks°

Ivan seems to be carrying timber of late and going through another miserable stage.
He had a couple of good runs on the Mercury label-this being one... I'd dearly like to see the Northern Lights myself... have to settle for this album -

Van Morrison - Dweller On The Threshold.

Another one of those 'hard/glam rock' ? bands I never got into....similar to Kiss who Simmons said influenced them.

Into The Music (1979) was the last Van lp that clicked for me...the later ones were hit or miss but often had some good tracks, he became self absorbed in his mystical music quest for many years,,,he did return to more straight forward music but for me the magic was in the earlier suff.
